Star-Powered Lineup Announced For 2025 Theater Alliance Gala - Andrew Mcmahon To Headline, Betty Who To Perform, And Comedian Ron Funches To Host At YouTube Theater In Los Angeles
Multiplatinum singer-songwriter Andrew McMahon — celebrated for his work with Jack’s Mannequin, Something Corporate, and his solo career —will headline Oak View Group’s (OVG) Theater Alliance Gala presented by DeKuyper on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, CA.
The star-studded evening will feature international pop sensation Betty Who delivering a high-energy performance, while acclaimed comedian and actor Ron Funches takes the stage as host, infusing the gala with his signature humor, charisma, and unstoppable energy.
“As someone whose own life has been shaped by access to the arts, I know how transformative music and theater can be,” said Andrew McMahon. “The work the Theater Alliance Fund is doing to preserve these spaces and expand arts education ensures the next generation of artists and audiences have the same opportunities I did. I’m honored to be part of a night that celebrates creativity while directly supporting its future.”
On what excites her about the gala, Betty Who said, “After my time on Broadway and stepping into this new era of my music, I’ve been reminded of the incredible power of art to bring people together. Supporting the Theater Alliance Fund means ensuring more people can share in that magic, whether on stage or in the audience. I can’t wait to bring that energy to the Gala.”
“Live performance has given me joy and perspective throughout my life and hosting the Theater Alliance Gala is a chance to honor that. Bringing people together through comedy, music, and community is what makes live events so special. I’m excited to be part of a night that honors those who work in front and behind the curtain while celebrating and supporting the arts,” Ron Funches added.
The Theater Alliance Gala is the signature fundraising event for the OVG Theater Alliance Fund, a 501(c)(3) created in collaboration with Music’s Promise which supports theaters and their nonprofit and philanthropic partners across North America. From student programs in Detroit, MI to cultural arts support in Pittsburgh, PA and transforming communities through the power of media in Austin, TX, the Fund ensures the arts remain accessible and vibrant.
In addition to unforgettable performances, guests will also have the chance to bid on exclusive experiences through the Gala’s silent auction, featuring premium concert tickets, luxury dining packages, autographed memorabilia, and other one-of-a-kind items that directly support the Fund’s mission.
“Bringing together such a dynamic lineup of artists underscores the power of this event and the impact it has on our members across the country,” said Joe Giordano, Vice President, OVG Alliances. “Beyond the performances, the Gala is about rallying support for the arts and strengthening communities everywhere our theaters live and thrive. We’re honored to showcase their talents in service of our mission.”
The Gala will honor two industry leaders with Impact Awards: Alex Hodges, CEO of Nederlander Concerts, and Aaron Egigian, founding artistic programmer at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Both have shaped the live entertainment landscape for decades, and their contributions to artists, venues, and audiences alike will be recognized during the program.
This marks the first time the event will be held on the West Coast, following past celebrations at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville (2023) and Radio City Music Hall in New York (2024). Previous performers have included Hanson, Rachel Platten, Jake Wesley Rogers, Lindsay Ell, Home Free, and hosts such as The Daily Show’s Michael Kosta.
The OVG Theater Alliance is a nationwide collective of marquee theaters and performing arts venues in top-tier markets across North America, providing members with collective buying power, touring opportunities, sponsorship connections and shared resources. The Alliance recently welcomed new members in San Diego’s Civic and Balboa Theatres (San Diego, CA) and Loew’s Jersey Theater (Jersey City, NJ) – reopening in 2026.
